As a seasoned cinephile with decades of film-watching under my belt, I must say that the confirmation of Black Panther 3 is as exciting as finding a freshly popped bag of popcorn at the bottom of my cinema seat. Washington’s slip of the tongue during the Gladiator II press tour was like a beacon of hope for us eager Marvel fans, and now, it seems our wishes have been granted.
Marvel Studios usually prefers to keep its upcoming projects under wraps, but they didn’t anticipate Oscar-winning actor [Actor’s Name] stepping into the shoes of Tom Holland and accidentally spilling the beans about starring in Black Panther 3. Now, what was once a well-guarded secret has been officially confirmed, as Kevin Feige has acknowledged that Black Panther 3 is indeed under production. Rest assured, we can all breathe easier now.
The confirmation of Black Panther 3 wasn’t strictly necessary due to Washington’s amusingly problematic remarks during the Gladiator II press tour. During this event, he unexpectedly disclosed that he was going to be part of the MCU in the yet-to-be-announced sequel to the 2022 film, which wasn’t named at the time. Washington stated:
“I’m not sure how many more movies I’ll make, as I’ve got a lot of new experiences I want to have. At 22, I played Othello and I’ll be playing him again at 70. After that, I’ll take on the role of Hannibal. Then, I’ve been discussing a film with Steve McQueen. Following that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther movie. After that, I plan to perform Othello again. Then, King Lear is next on my list. Once those roles are done, I intend to retire.
1st Time Mention: Washington brought up Coogler’s involvement in the upcoming Marvel sequel, making it the first public disclosure about the project. Since Marvel Studios is planning a revamp of its release schedule, Washington felt compelled to apologize to Coogler in a later interview for accidentally revealing the secret.
Nate Moore’s Marvel Studios Exit Led the ‘Black Panther 3’ Confirmation
It has been announced that after many years with Marvel Studios, Nate Moore is planning to transition to an external producer role next year. Despite this change, Moore will still be involved in the production of “Black Panther 3”, a fact confirmed by both him and Marvel’s head Kevin Feige. According to Feige’s statement, this is what will happen.
As much as I’m going to feel his absence keenly, I can hardly wait to see what he’s got up his sleeve for his next project. Moreover, it’s an incredible opportunity that we get to collaborate with him again, this time on the upcoming Black Panther film.
Moore acknowledged his appreciation towards Marvel Studios for equipping him with the abilities he’s now utilizing in his latest position, as he put it himself.
Much of what I know about film production comes from my time spent at Marvel Studios. It’s been a privilege to work alongside such passionate filmmakers and storytellers, much like my Marvel coworkers and the cast and crew of our films. Yet, nothing excites me more than using my skills and love for cinema to contribute to various genres of movies, including revisiting the world of Wakanda for Black Panther 3.
Although we’ve officially confirmed “Black Panther 3,” we’re still unsure about the plot details of this upcoming film, or when it will hit theaters. Marvel Studios is expected to slow down its production after the Multiverse Saga concludes, suggesting that the movie could arrive sooner than expected, filling one of the open slots between “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.” Alternatively, it might be released in 2027 or 2028.
