BRABUS Unveils 1,000 HP Shooting Brake SL

As a lifelong automotive enthusiast who’s had the privilege of driving everything from classic muscle cars to cutting-edge electric supercars, I must say that the BRABUS Rocket GTS has left me utterly spellbound! This beast not only boasts an eye-watering 1,000 hp but also showcases a stunning design that seamlessly blends aesthetics with aerodynamics.

BRABUS has recently revealed its newest masterpiece, a powerful Mercedes-Benz SL Shooting Brake, affectionately called the Rocket GTS. This automobile showcases a remarkable horsepower of 1,000 and electronically restricted torque of approximately 1,600 Nm (or 1,194 lb-ft).

The Rocket GTS boasts an exclusive 4.5L V8 biturbo engine, producing 796 horsepower, coupled with a 204 horsepower electric motor module. This dual power system propels it from 0 to 60 mph in an astonishing 2.6 seconds and allows for a top speed of 196 mph. The impressive acceleration is made possible by BRABUS’s intricately designed hybrid power system, featuring a high-performance nine-speed sports transmission and a two-speed gearbox in the electric module, pushing the boundaries of hybrid technology.

The unique design of the Hyper GT is carefully crafted using carbon fiber and honed through advanced computer-aided design (CAD), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and wind tunnel testing. This sleek and powerful car not only looks amazing, but its aerodynamics also ensure stability at speeds exceeding 185 mph. Wide, aerodynamically designed fenders encase custom 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock P “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels, which incorporate carbon aero blades to dissipate heat from the brakes.

In the interior of the Rocket GTS, a unique design by BRABUS in slate gray leather and black Alcantara is used, complete with diamond-quilted stitching in their “Seashell Diamond” pattern. The cabin’s aesthetic is further enhanced with “Shadow Gray” trim and illuminated logos, adding to the vehicle’s sense of exclusivity.

At this moment, the automaker has not provided details about the price or release date, but they mentioned that each Rocket GTS will be custom-built according to individual orders as part of an exclusive series of production.
