As a seasoned Call of Duty veteran with countless hours spent across various titles, I must say that the Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has brought back a sense of nostalgia and excitement that I haven’t felt in a long time. It’s like stepping into a time machine, transporting me back to the days of grinding for levels, mastering my skills, and feeling the thrill of earning exclusive rewards.
In Black Ops 6, the Prestige mode recreates the traditional Call of Duty feel, pleasing veteran series enthusiasts. This feature lets gamers restart their advancement, earning unique perks and a chance to boast about their achievements in return.
This setup caters to individuals who thrive on persistent effort and dedication. This article aims to guide you through the process of reaching a new level, allowing you to test your abilities to the fullest while enjoying the benefits that come with it.
What Is Prestige and How to Do It in Black Ops 6
Once you reach Level 55, the pinnacle of Military level, you gain access to the opportunity to engage Prestige Mode.
This resets your Player Level to 1, locks most of the items, and unlocks you’ve accumulated so far.
Regardless of how daunting it may seem to start anew, remember that you’ll reap long-term benefits and gain access to exclusive upper echelons of content.
After reaching the Prestige level, your loadout configurations, including weapon setups and attached perks, will have to be re-earned as you progress through levels once more.
When you Prestige, most of your advancement gets reset, but certain aspects like weapon customizations, store items, and Battle Pass progress won’t be erased.
Every time you reach the prestige level, you get a token known as a Permanent Unlock Token. These tokens have immense value, as they grant permanent access to a weapon, bonus, or other items locked at specific levels.
This method proves particularly beneficial when you’re aiming to bypass the tougher challenges and swiftly acquire significant gear, like a high-level weapon or useful tools.
This way, even though your level resets, you don’t have to go without your favorite gear for long.
Each Prestige level features cosmetic rewards, and here’s what you can expect:
- Prestige 1:
- Prestige Icon and “Nacht Raider” Operator Skin.
- Permanent Unlock Token
- At Level 10, you get the Der Riese Loading Screen.
- At Level 20, the Perk-A-Cola GobbleGum Pack becomes available (for Zombies mode).
- Further rewards at Levels 30, 40, and 50 include cosmetic items like the Zombie Breach Animated Emblem and Teddy is a Liar SMG Blueprint.
The rewards continue through the higher levels of Prestige:
- Prestige 3 (Level 50): Unlock the “My Name is…” Payne Operator Skin.
- Prestige 4 (Level 50): Earn the Atomic Commando XM4 Assault Rifle Blueprint.
- Prestige 5 (Level 50): Gain the “Absolute Loss” Toro Operator Skin.
- Prestige 6 (Level 50): Unlock the Robot Abomination SWAT 556 Marksman Rifle Blueprint.
- Prestige 7 (Level 50): Get the Specialist Fan Maya Operator Skin
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, there are a total of 10 Prestige levels that you can achieve. Once you’ve successfully completed level 10, you will be granted access to the prestigious Prestige Master tier.
With this new update, you’ll gain access to an extra 1,000 stages where you can earn points, and the perks just keep coming for those who persist. As you ascend these new levels, you’ll uncover unique rewards like Legacy Prestige Icons from previous Call of Duty games.
You gain access to the Legacy Icons at certain achievements, like reaching Level 100 and every 100 levels thereafter.
