As a gamer, I’ve dived into Monster Hunter Wilds with Update 1, hoping for an enhanced experience. However, it seems Capcom aimed high in addressing the game’s initial criticism of ease, making monsters like Zoh Shia and Tempered Mizutsune quite formidable adversaries. The regular Mizutsune wasn’t much trouble, but the challenge offered by the tempered version is on par with some endgame monsters (Arkveld, Rathalos, etc.). But the Tempered Mizutsune is a different beast altogether. It not only wields all the attacks and move sets of its regular counterpart, but it’s also equipped with a few surprises that can take you off guard and, in some instances, deal a devastating blow in a single hit.

The initial pair of games significantly shaped the structure of this popular franchise, frequently praised for being among the greatest classic video game series ever created.

The current-gen versions of FromSoftware’s popular RPG have experienced a massive reduction in price – a drop of £18 from their previous price of £39.95. Among other retailers offering physical copies, this is undoubtedly the most advantageous deal available.

Having merchants available during gameplay offers convenience by providing a wide range of supplies like consumables, weapons, and tools for players. Yet, not all goods are equally valuable; while some are universally useful, others may only be helpful in specific scenarios, and some might even be entirely useless in the long run. It’s best to exclude these items from your shopping list as their worth is limited, and usually, there are better options or alternative methods of obtaining them that don’t require spending large amounts of hard-earned coins on the merchants.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but notice the shift in the community’s discourse lately – it appears that the game has stopped being labeled as “too easy” by many players, and I believe the credit for this transformation goes to the latest addition to our hunting grounds, the elusive Mizutsune. Debuting in Monster Hunter Wilds with its inaugural title update, alongside the Grand Hub, Mizutsune initially seemed manageable for us hunters. However, it seems that the real challenge lies not in the base version of this creature, but in confronting the Tempered Mizutsune. Quite an intriguing development!
