The approaching expansion for Diablo 4, titled “Vessel of Hatred,” seems imminent, and it’s clear that the development team at Blizzard has paid close attention to the feedback about the original game’s lack of endgame content.
This year at Gamescom, I had the opportunity to chat with Brent Gibson, an Associate Game Director, and Aislyn Hall, a Systems Designer from Blizzard Entertainment, regarding Diablo 4’s expansion titled “Vessel of Hatred.”
Since Diablo 4 was released last year, it has already had five seasonal content updates. Interestingly, the creators at Blizzard have labeled the latest content, Vessel of Hatred, as their first expansion. This hints that they might be planning additional expansions in the future.
