Regrettably, many players are finding out that they won’t get to play Stellar Blade, a situation made worse by the restrictions on PlayStation Network (PSN) again. This issue is similar to what happened with previous PlayStation games released on Steam, as the launch of Stellar Blade has been prohibited in over 130 countries due to PSN not being available in certain regions.
In simple terms, the PC version of Stellar Blade offers support for both NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, allowing for high frame rates, ultrawide display compatibility, Japanese and Chinese voice-overs, and DualSense controller support. It also features a new boss battle, 25 new costumes, and enhanced environment textures. The DLSS 4 technology uses Multi Frame Generation to run the game at very high frame rates on PC, while its super sampling capabilities enable players to play the game in higher resolutions like 4K, without compromising the frame rate which stays above 60 FPS.

In a short span of time, the game Stellar Blade surpassed expectations almost entirely, eventually earning high praise as one of the top-rated PS5 exclusives and boosting Shift Up’s reputation into the ranks of AAA-level studios. Reflecting on it now, the remarkable rise to fame of Stellar Blade in the gaming industry is definitely worthy of celebration, and its popularity is expected to endure for a long time.

Despite some gamers criticizing the look of protagonist Eve, “Stellar Blade” was generally well-received by both critics and players, earning an 81 Metascore and a 9.2 user score on Metacritic. Notably, “Stellar Blade” has seen numerous post-release updates, adding new costumes, features, and content, and even collaborated with Square Enix’s “NieR: Automata” for additional DLC in November 2024. The game isn’t stopping there, with a new PC version set to launch in June 2025.
