In the series “Moon Knight,” actor Oscar Isaac portrays Steven Grant, a quiet museum employee who uncovers his hidden identity as Marc Spector, a transformed U.S. Marine-turned-mercenary. This character was revived by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu after brushing with death. The deity proposed that Spector would serve as their human representative, enacting vengeance on those deemed appropriate. In the show, Spector and Grant find themselves at odds with Arthur Harrow, a follower of the entity known as the “Devourer of Death,” Ammit. They join forces with Layla El-Faouly, Spector’s former spouse and an archaeologist, to locate Ammit’s tomb and prevent her resurrection.
