
The original Starship Enterprise crew, consisting of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and others, featured in six films from 1979 to 1991, with a few reprising their roles for the 1994 film “Star Trek: Generations.” This popular film franchise led to another TV series in 1987, making Star Trek a dominant force on television throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s with three more shows. By bringing back the beloved Enterprise crew, these movies filled in essential details about the fictional universe, enhancing and refining what had been established before.
