Moving forward, New Balance broadens its product lineup with a fresh color scheme appearing on the 2002R design. This model has been rapidly gaining popularity over other favorites such as the 9060 or 1906R. To its Spring 2025 collection, the 2002R now comes in a vibrant “Green Apple” version. As we approach warmer seasons, the spring lineup features the upper made of linen suede with a backdrop of green apple and orange tones gracing the mesh upper, overlays, heel counter, and portions of the midsole. The green hue emphasizes the “N” logo, as well as the backtab and tongue accents. The shoe will be available at selected retailers this weekend.

In this new partnership, the designer’s distinctive shapes are incorporated, with a strong emphasis on reducing sewing, following Van Beirendonck’s aesthetic. Many fabrics are fused together using glue and design tape to produce avant-garde variations of conventional denim garments. Pieces marked with WVB codes are prominent in the collaboration, such as an oversized jacket made with 3D knitting technology, a sweater bearing the phrase “Future Proof” as a tribute to the designer’s work, and a cap displaying the reversed human figure logo. As for denim items, the collection offers a cropped jacket, overalls, box-cut shorts, and straight leg jeans, all adorned with shared branding elements etched onto the pieces.
