For several decades, the enigmatic figure of the Joker, DC Comics’ renowned antagonist, has captured our attention through various mediums including films, TV shows, and literature. This notorious character made his first appearance in the debut issue of “Batman” comic book back in 1940. Initially intended to meet his demise during that initial appearance, the Joker was given a reprieve by editorial intervention, ultimately leading him to become Batman’s long-standing adversary.

After working as a successful cinematographer on films such as “Die Hard,” “Ruthless People,” “Flatliners,” “Basic Instinct,” “The Hunt for Red October,” and “Cujo,” Jan de Bont directed just five movies himself. Among these, his first two projects, “Speed” and “Twister,” received both critical acclaim and commercial success that rivaled the greatest achievements of his cinematography past. Unfortunately, the reception for his later films, including “Speed 2: Cruise Control,” “The Haunting,” and “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life,” was not as favorable.

Headland has confirmed that if the series continues in this galaxy, Darth Plagueis will play a pivotal role in shaping future events. As Headland shared with Inverse in an interview:

Justin Hartley rejoined the world of network television in the beginning of 2024 with “Tracker,” marking his first major role since wrapping up “This Is Us” in 2022. This new CBS production was a massive success, ranking as the most-watched show during the 2023-2024 television season. Hartley spoke of the demanding routine to portray Colter Shaw and is set for another fall broadcast. Ken Olin, who collaborated with Hartley on both “This Is Us” and “Tracker,” showered him with accolades and drew a comparison to Mark Harmon from “NCIS.”
