Sy, who rose to global fame following the success of Netflix’s Lupin, will debut his new film, titled French Lover, on the streaming platform this year. This romantic drama finds Sy smitten with Marion (played by Sara Giraudeau from The Bureau), the neighboring girl next door. Schweighöfer, whose 2021 action comedy Army of Thieves was a surprise hit for Netflix, is back this year with Brick, directed by Philip Koch from Tribes of Europe. This high-concept sci-fi thriller reunites Schweighöfer with his co-star Ruby O. Fee as a duo who discover their apartment building enclosed by an enigmatic brick wall, necessitating collaboration with neighbors to escape. Mexican actress Herrera, known for her roles in Ozark and Rebel Moon, has revealed details about Las Muertas, a limited series helmed by director Luis Estrada that is based on Jorge Ibargüengoitia’s novel. The story centers around a pair of pimp sisters who abduct women for their brothels, ultimately disposing of them when they are no longer profitable.
