In a conversation with SFX Magazine (through Redanian Intelligence), Lauren S. Hissrich shared that there are multiple additional stories set within the universe of “The Witcher” currently being developed. Expressing her deep affection for this world, she stated, “I’m always seeking new ways to broaden this world beyond the main series.” Having previously worked as an executive producer on shows like “Daredevil” and “The Umbrella Academy“, Hissrich disclosed that these spin-offs have been in the works long before the show premiered six years ago. She further added:

– “I adore this world, I’m always looking for new chances to grow it beyond the primary series.”
– “This universe of ‘The Witcher‘ is vast, and I can’t wait to explore more of it through these spin-offs.”
– “As a fan of this world myself, I’m constantly searching for opportunities to delve deeper into its lore with the spin-offs.

As a movie critic, I must say that Hwang Dong-hyuk’s “Squid Game” has undeniably taken Netflix by storm. Following a lengthy wait spanning several years, Netflix has finally unveiled that the action movie is now prepared for release and will debut this spring on their streaming service. This thrilling announcement originates from Variety and their report detailing Netflix’s lineup in 2025, featuring updates on “Knives Out 3,” Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein,” and “The Old Guard 2.”

Previously announced, the upcoming movie is based on Homer’s classic Greek epic poem, as indicated by Universal Studios’ hint at its grand-scale global production that will incorporate advanced IMAX cinema technology. The cast includes new collaborators for director Christopher Nolan, such as Holland, Nyong’o, Zendaya, Theron, and Bernthal, while also reuniting him with Damon (from “Oppenheimer” and “Interstellar”), Pattinson (“Tenet”), Hathaway (“Interstellar”, “The Dark Knight Rises”), and the aforementioned Safdie. This movie seems to embody a summation of Christopher Nolan’s cinematic journey so far.

At a “Next on Netflix” event in Los Angeles (as reported by The Hollywood Reporter), the streaming service finally announced the news that fans have been eagerly waiting five years for – the premiere date of “The Old Guard 2” on Netflix, which is scheduled for July 2, 2025. Both Charlize Theron and Luca Marinelli are set to reprise their roles in the sequel, based on the graphic novel by Greg Rucka.
