On Thursday, the lead actress of Walter Salles’ period film “I’m Still Here” followed in the footsteps of her mother Fernanda Montenegro by being nominated as the second Brazilian ever by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences for Best Actress. This film is one of Bong Joon-Ho’s earlier works in South Korea and was the third movie he directed, coming after his initial release Barking Dogs Never Bite and the groundbreaking neo-noir crime thriller Memories of Murder.
