The latest addition to the well-known Transformers series, titled “Transformers One”, marks its debut as an animated film since 1986’s “The Transformers: The Movie”. This fresh installment aims to unfold the prequel storyline that sets the stage for the main conflict in the series, delving into the origins of the war between Autobots and Decepticons. More significantly, it explores the transformation of Optimus Prime and Megatron from comrades to adversaries leading opposing factions. A key aspect that fans eagerly anticipate in each new Transformers movie is the list of characters featured in the storyline and, crucially, the toy lineup.

The spin-off show from Orphan Black, titled by AMC, has been terminated after airing only one season. Many anticipated that the series would pull in large viewership due to its predecessor’s success, which debuted in 2013 and was led by Tatiana Maslany. Unfortunately, the first season of 10 episodes received mixed feedback, and it appears that these reviews didn’t translate into sufficient ratings for a renewal, as suggested by Deadline.

HBO’s less-known series, The Leftovers, brilliantly illustrates this phenomenon, demonstrating how arrogance, power, fear, and misunderstanding can lead to distinct responses to the same event and create various communities in its wake. Similarly, a new BBC series titled The Listeners, adapted from Jordan Tannahill’s 2021 novel, explores similar themes but focuses on a specific group of people in a similar manner.
