As a passionate movie reviewer, I’m thrilled to share my insights on the upcoming changes in the DC Comics universe under the guidance of James Gunn and Peter Safran. Unlike previous iterations, these superheroes will embark on their individual journeys, at least for now, in this reimagined cinematic universe.
In a recent development, there has been a positive turn of events for Kevin Costner’s original western series, “Horizon: An American Saga,” but unfortunately, this doesn’t signal the long-awaited release date for Chapter 2. Originally conceived as a four-part saga, “Horizon” follows the establishment of the titular town on the American frontier. The first chapter was released, introducing the main characters in Costner’s epic tale, and ended with many of them moving to the town to begin a new life. While it received mixed reviews upon initial release and underperformed at the box office, it gained a renewed audience when it was made available on Video On Demand a few weeks later. Due to the disappointing performance of Chapter 1, New Line Cinema indefinitely postponed the release of the already completed Chapter 2.
Occasionally, the universe delivers us a hard double blow, much like the 2009 two-part miniseries Meteor (currently streaming on Peacock) depicts. In this fictional tale, Christopher Lloyd, Jason Alexander, and Ernie Hudson play an astronomer, rocket scientist, and military general who unite to prevent a catastrophic asteroid impact on Earth. However, their efforts to destroy the initial threat with our combined nuclear arsenal reveal that a second even larger fragment is still en route. In reality, our planet is currently experiencing a similar double blow from two related meteor showers called the Taurids.
As the highly-anticipated “Soul Burger” draws nearer in its release, Ab-Soul is nearing the final leg before unveiling his first album since “HERBERT” in 2022. A series of singles have been leading up to the project’s release this upcoming Friday, and Ab has now disclosed the complete tracklist featuring collaborations from fellow Top Dawg Entertainment members as well as others.
