In a recent statement, director Parker Finn of the anticipated horror sequel “Smile 2” has acknowledged a striking resemblance between its plot and another popular horror film released this year. Despite the coincidental similarities in their storylines, Finn is not concerned about the simultaneous release of his movie, pointing out examples like Dante’s Peak and Volcano, as well as Armageddon and Deep Impact, where such dual releases have occurred in the past.
