Introduced in 1974, “The Parallax View” stood out as one of the most disheartening films during a particularly disillusioned decade. One of the chilling elements of this movie, featuring Warren Beatty as a journalist whose probe into a senator’s murder uncovers a vast web of conspiracy, is its uncanny resemblance to the somber times it portrays.
Jimmy Kimmel, who has hosted the last four Academy Awards ceremonies including the ones in 2017, 2018, and more recently the two most recent ones, and John Mulaney, the host of the latest Governors Awards ceremony, have declined to take up the role as the emcee for the 97th Oscars scheduled on March 2, 2025. This raises the question: who will the Academy, the producers of their telecast (likely to be the same team behind the successful 2024 ceremony, excluding Kimmel’s wife), and ABC choose as a replacement – if anyone? They went without a host for the ceremonies in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Since the popular sitcom “Modern Family” ended its 11-season run on ABC in 2020, the cast members have been pursuing various projects. One of them, Emmy-winning actor Eric Stonestreet who played Cameron Tucker, has been particularly busy. Although he’s had some significant roles post-“Modern Family,” his latest project seems to be his most substantial yet. Importantly, this new television opportunity won’t air on a network.

It looks like Bravo could be venturing to the Berkshires, possibly! Based on Deadline’s reports, discussions are underway for a reality show that takes place at Dorinda Medley’s renowned Blue Stone Manor estate. This series would likely feature Medley, a former star of The Real Housewives of New York, and might resemble Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa, where Lisa Vanderpump supervises her staff working at her chateau. Bravo viewers will remember the unique Blue Stone Manor from its appearances during Medley’s RHONY tenure and later on the second season of Peacock’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, where Medley hosted fellow Housewives Taylor Armstrong, Brandi Glanville, Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Eva Marcille, Phaedra Parks, and Jill Zarin.
