Richard Osman, the creator of the popular mystery novel “The Thursday Murder Club,” has confirmed that he won’t be involved in the filmmaking process or make a personal appearance in the upcoming Netflix movie. Excitingly, Osman announced that the movie has completed its production. It’s unusual for an author to step back from a movie adaptation of their book, but Osman wants the film to tell its own story instead of being an extension of his successful series of books. The distinctively British film has attracted global attention, largely due to its impressive cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Helen Mirren, Celia Imrie, David Tennant, Naomi Ackie, Jonathan Pryce, Tom Ellis, Daniel Mays, and others.
