It appears that Hulk Hogan, formerly of Hollywood but now enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame and known for films such as “Santa with Muscles,” continues to bask in the limelight despite being seemingly discarded by Hollywood. This year at the Republican National Convention, he endorsed Donald Trump for president with a dramatic speech that echoed the style of his wrestling performances, stripping off his shirt and extolling the virtues of making America great again. However, while Hogan’s goal was to rally support for his chosen candidate, his speech drew parallels to Mike Judge’s “Idiocracy” – a movie set in a future where everyone is perceived as being unintelligent.
