Though we won’t be able to watch “Jurassic World Rebirth” in cinemas until July 2025, the television schedule for 2024 has been keeping things exciting with the escapades of “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory”. This TV show made its debut on Netflix this year itself, and what’s interesting is that the character Brooklynn, played by Jenna Ortega, has a new face in the series.

There’s hardly anything that matches the electrifying, breath-taking sensation of viewing an exceptional thriller film. Be it a die-hard horror enthusiast or not, the suspense before a masked killer emerges from behind a door can send shivers down your spine and make even the bravest among us jump out of their seats.

When you merge “Blazing Saddles”, “The Magnificent Seven”, and “Blood and Bone” into a single movie, you end up with “Outlaw Johnny Black“, starring martial artist and actor Michael Jai White. This comedy/Western was released in 2023 and will soon be free to stream on Tubi. Known for his roles in popular modern martial arts and action films like “Blood and Bone”, “Never Back Down”, and “Falcon Rising”, and for his work as the Spawn character and a supporting role in “The Dark Knight”, White is particularly famous for the cult comedy “Black Dynamite“. Last year, the same creative team produced “Outlaw Johnny Black“, the long-awaited sequel that fans have been eagerly anticipating.

As a movie enthusiast, I must say that Halloween in Tinseltown is nothing short of grandiose, with A-listers pouring their artistic flair and deep pockets into creating some of the most jaw-dropping costumes imaginable. This year, it appears that the title of “Halloween Champion” has already been claimed, and the coveted award undeniably goes to the multi-talented sensation, Janelle Monáe, for her astonishingly lifelike E.T. costume from Steven Spielberg’s timeless masterpiece, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).

Paul W.S. Anderson, famed for helming four of the original six “Resident Evil” films, is set to adapt another well-loved horror video game franchise for the cinema with “The House of the Dead.” Launched in 1997, a year following the debut of the first “Resident Evil” game, “The House of the Dead” series and its predecessor played significant roles in popularizing the zombie shooter genre and rejuvenating the zombie concept for contemporary audiences. The rapid-moving undead creatures in “The House of the Dead” would serve as inspiration for films like “28 Days Later” and Zack Snyder’s remake of “Dawn of the Dead.
