Prime Video is beefing up the cast for its crime drama Countdown.

One of the standout films from the 1980s and a notable success in the blend of live-action and animation, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” by director Robert Zemeckis remains a significant achievement in Disney’s catalog. Award-winning actor Brendan Fraser has been chosen to portray Dwight D. Eisenhower in the upcoming film “Pressure.” This movie is described as a thrilling race-against-time story, recounting the authentic events leading up to the Normandy landings of 1944. Prior to becoming the 34th President of the US, Eisenhower held the position of Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe. In this role, he oversaw the planning and execution of Operation Overlord – the invasion of Normandy that lasted approximately three months and ultimately led to victory for the Allies.

The highly anticipated film, “Deadpool & Wolverine“, is all set to hit theaters this upcoming weekend. In preparation for this new Marvel Cinematic Universe production, fans are being advised by Marvel themselves to secure their tickets early to avoid potential spoilers circulating online. Featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in lead roles, “Deadpool & Wolverine” unfolds six years after the occurrences in “Deadpool 2“, with the beloved characters forced into an uneasy alliance to save the universe. With a projected opening weekend revenue of over $200 million, this R-rated movie could make history by becoming the first of its kind to achieve such impressive earnings.

Previously this year, it was revealed that “Tomb Raider” is set to make its television debut on Prime Video, spearheaded by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. There’s an update on the timeline for beginning production on the Lara Croft series. Originally launched in 1996 for PC, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn, “Tomb Raider” became a massive hit, leading to a vast franchise encompassing games, comics, novels, action figures, and films. The first movie adaptation, titled “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” starring Angelina Jolie, was released in 2001, with the most recent installment featuring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in 2018.
