As a dedicated gamer and horror enthusiast, I can’t help but notice the buzz surrounding Stephen King adaptations these days, with Mike Flanagan, another horror maestro, being a recurring name in the conversation. His movie “The Life of Chuck” is yet to grace our screens as he works diligently on both a “Dark Tower” TV show and a series based on the heart-wrenching character from the prom nightmare, “Carrie.” The latter was just announced in October 2024, but Flanagan has already shared some encouraging updates, making me optimistic about the project. With casting decisions around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share my dream cast for this upcoming horror series.

Anticipation is high for Lindsay Lohan’s return to Netflix later this month. Prior to that, though, we have “The Merry Gentlemen“, featuring Britt Robertson and Chad Michael Murray in a film reminiscent of Hallmark meets “Magic Mike“. This movie is generating quite the buzz, and fortunately for us, critics have already had an early screening to give us a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Concurrently, this marks the beginning of a full-fledged DC cinematic universe, or DCU, which will eventually incorporate upcoming projects like Gunn’s 2025 Superman film, Peacemaker‘s second season, Supergirl, and the television series Lanterns. It is strategic for DC and Warner Bros. to entrust Gunn with the creative responsibilities given his successful past ventures with both Marvel and DC. However, the selection of this team to spearhead the project left some people puzzled, even those involved in the show’s creation.
