In 2017, Andy Muschietti’s film, “It,” represented a modernized version of the Stephen King adaptation that originally appeared on television in 1990. Notable cast members included Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, and Finn Wolfhard as Richie Tozier. This film was warmly received by both audiences and critics alike. Two years following this, “It: Chapter 2” was released, with the Derry kids now grown up, and Bill Hader stepping into the role of an adult Tozier. Unfortunately, the sequel wasn’t as highly praised as the initial installment, even garnering a humorous critique from one of Hader’s daughters. Her response to the movie undeniably captured the appropriate sentiment.

The highly-anticipated second season of “Squid Game” is set to premiere on December 26th, and according to its creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, it’s going to be even more thrilling than the first. Fans have been speculating about what might transpire in Season 2 during the show’s three-year break, and now, it seems, their theories will be put to the test. The main character from “Squid Game” will reappear, but so will the menacing doll that snitches on you if you dare to falter during the lethal version of the “Red Light, Green Light” game.

On July 3rd, the film “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” made a big impact on Netflix. This action-comedy brought back Eddie Murphy’s character Beverly Hills Cop alongside his old friends Billy Rosewood (portrayed by Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton). In the story, he teams up with Detective Bobby Abbott, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, to solve a wide-reaching conspiracy. At one point, they even steal a helicopter in a thrilling sequence that combined real-life stunts and computer-generated imagery (CGI). However, veteran pilot Fred North mentioned that director Mark Molloy initially wasn’t too impressed with the stunt, but he changed his mind after deciding to join the ride.

As a dedicated cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that James Gunn has hinted that Peacemaker Season 1 will be canon within the DC Universe, with a notable exception. The first season of this riveting series premiered in January 2022, seamlessly integrating into the DCEU, following on from the events of The Suicide Squad, which was a sequel to the 2016 Suicide Squad.
