I’m eagerly awaiting various Star Wars TV series and films in the future, but what really has me thrilled is the approaching Season 2 of Andor. Tony Gilroy’s sci-fi drama left a powerful impact during its initial season with its intricate characters and some of the finest storytelling yet in the galaxy far, far away. It’s no surprise that many fans are eagerly anticipating the second (and final) season, and they’re not alone in their excitement. Prolific fantasy author George R.R. Martin has been working on his A Song of Ice and Fire (a.k.a. Game of Thrones) novels since 1996, when the first book in the saga was published. As with any long-term project, there will undoubtedly be things that Martin wishes he’d changed or done differently. During a recent lecture at Oxford Writers’ House, where Martin discussed his acclaimed series, the author revealed the biggest thing he wished he’d done differently in his career, and it’s what Game of Thrones fans have been begging for over the last 13 years.
