After an eventful and sometimes thrilling first day of the 2024 Democratic National Convention that stretched into the late night hours, the second day, labeled “A Bold Vision for America’s Future,” will showcase speeches from former President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Douglas Emhoff (the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris), Senators Bernie Sanders and Chuck Schumer, along with other significant figures within the Democratic Party.

I went into the theater for “Blink Twice” without knowing what to anticipate. The film, Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut, has sparked much conversation due to its initial title, “Pussy Island,” which was later changed following feedback from some women who found it offensive. It’s also notable that she met her partner, Channing Tatum, after sending him the script. The trailer for “Blink Twice” presents a lavish island backdrop with hints of violent indulgences, but the movie surpasses these expectations.

As a fan, when I ponder over Michael Keaton’s illustrious career, it’s often his dual roles that come to the fore: the intense Batman or the unforgettable Betelgeuse. The latter resonates even more as we approach the premiere of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” where he reunites with Tim Burton yet again. However, Keaton is cherished by many for his diverse acting skills, and his performances beyond these iconic characters have won hearts too. From the hilarious “Mr. Mom” to the thought-provoking “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance),” Keaton has consistently left us in awe with roles that blend drama and comedy.

Katherine Renee Kane is set to bid farewell from the CBS crime drama FBI during its seventh season, having starred in just one last episode. Joining the cast in Season 4, she played Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, a character who has been crucial to numerous storylines for the past three seasons. As new characters step into the show with her departure, many fans will undoubtedly miss the significant impact she left on the series.
