‘Chicago Fire’ Adds Dermot Mulroney for Season 13

As a long-time fan of “Chicago Fire,” I’m thrilled to hear that Dermot Mulroney is joining the show as the new chief at Firehouse 51! With his impressive TV and film resume, he’s sure to bring a dynamic energy to the role. His recent work on shows like Marvel’s “Secret Invasion” and “Hanna,” as well as recurring roles on “Station 19” and “Shameless,” show that he’s no stranger to the world of emergency services and drama.

Chicago Fire is bringing a new leader into Firehouse 51.

Dermot Mulroney is set to appear in the 13th season of a long-running NBC show, starting from September 25. In this role, he will portray the character of Chief Dom Pascal.

As a devoted gamer following the popular firefighting TV series, I’m eagerly anticipating upcoming developments. With Eamonn Walker, who brilliantly portrayed Chief Wallace Boden for 12 thrilling seasons, stepping down as a regular last season, there’s an air of uncertainty around the fire house leadership. Yet, there’s a glimmer of hope as Walker’s departure doesn’t necessarily mean goodbye – he could still make guest appearances in the show.

As Boden prepared to leave, he informed David Eigenberg’s character, Christopher Herrmann, that he had chosen him as the new chief, which could lead to tension as the new season unfolds. Alongside Eigenberg, the following cast members are set to return: Taylor Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo, Joe Miñoso, Christian Stolte, Daniel Kyri, Hanako Greensmith, and Jocelyn Hudon.

More recently, Mulroney has appeared on various television projects. He joins the cast of Marvel’s “Secret Invasion” on Disney+, and recurs on both “Station 19” and “Shameless,” all available on streaming platforms. Additionally, he stars in the upcoming Starz series “The Hunting Wives,” alongside Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow. Mulroney’s filmography consists of movies such as the “Scream” franchise, “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” and “Anyone But You.” His representation is handled by Paradigm.
