As a fashion enthusiast who has attended my fair share of runway shows, I can confidently say that Christian Cowan‘s Spring/Summer 2025 presentation was nothing short of extraordinary. The theatricality and cinematic flair he brought to the Blade East tarmac were truly a sight to behold!
Regardless of the weather, Christian Cowan’s stars consistently shine brightly. An illustrious group – Yung Miami, Justin Theroux, Aliyah’s Interlude, and Law Roach among others – assembled on the Blade East tarmac one Sunday evening to admire the designer’s newest ready-to-wear collection. The presentation was nothing short of cinematic, with models enacting murder-mystery scenarios as they strutted, strolled, and even sprinted down the runway, completing his latest release in grand style.
In Cowan’s description, there is an abrupt interruption of Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde: Overture”. Everyone turns suddenly to witness Clarice collapsing to her side, holding tight to her Verdura Stardust necklace and leaning against the opulent De Gournay wallpaper.

“She stares with an unsettling horror at her martini which she had thought to herself had tasted strange, as the chilling thought dawned upon her, ‘It was poisoned!’ Her ankles give way, her lashes flutter, letting out a cry she grabs what’s nearest, pulling the tablecloth Mercedes got at Bergdorf last summer with all its delicious contents onto the polished parquet floor. Hysteria runs wild as the ladies aid Clarice, all the while trying to decipher, who could have done this?! They turn to see a flash of taffeta and fur running out the door. ‘AFTER HER’ they cry!!! What was promising to be Vienna’s ball of the season, now turns into the most glamorously chic hunt for a murderer…”
Cowan assembles an impressive collection of silver, black, and less commonly used cobalt blue items, which feature his iconic star patterns, floral embellishments, ostrich feathers, and prominent silhouettes. This collection is concluded by the character Clarice, who models a total of 30 pieces, both menswear and womenswear. The label’s sophisticated, sharp, and multi-layered tailoring style dominates much of this range.
The Spring/Summer 2025 collection by Cowan, accompanied by music from Charli XCX and Ethel Cain, was more like a film production. It was richly equipped with items such as Poppi drinks and SHED RAIN umbrellas, while the Manhattan skyline served as an impressive backdrop.
