Colleen Hoover Scrubs Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni From Her Instagram Feed

Colleen Hoover‘s Instagram feed has seemingly broken up with Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.

After a hiatus from Instagram due to the contentious legal dispute between the director/co-star and lead actress of the film adaptation of her book “It Ends with Us“, the author has resumed activity on her social media platforms. Previously, Hoover had shared images from the promotional campaign for the movie that featured Baldoni and Lively, as well as an Instagram Story expressing support for Lively, describing her as “honest, kind, supportive, and patient since our first encounter.” At that time, Hoover did not directly address the allegations of sexual harassment and “astroturfing” against Baldoni. In December, she decided to temporarily deactivate her account.

The writer, known for their successful novel portraying a poisonous pair, which was subsequently adapted into a blockbuster movie, has reactivated their account with a slight distance from the film’s actual feuding stars by removing most mentions of Lively and Baldwin.

Hoover’s Instagram continues to feature many updates related to her book and the movie, including celebratory posts about the selection of supporting actors like Jenny Slate and Brandon Sklenar. Interestingly, Hoover seems to keep track of Lively on the platform, but not Baldoni.

Delving a bit deeper, you’ll discover remnants of both Lively and Baldoni. For instance, there’s a July post commemorating the movie’s premiere, containing a link to an article from The Hollywood Reporter, featuring a divided image of Lively and Baldoni at the top. Additionally, there’s a 2022 post that features a video by Baldoni, spotlighting Hoover and himself meeting some enthusiastic fans of the book.

The movie “It Ends with Us,” based on Hoover’s 2016 bestselling novel, premiered in theaters in August 2024. However, controversy arose following the film’s promotion due to a reported rift between Baldoni and Lively. In December, a New York Times report surfaced alleging that Lively had accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and attempting to manipulate a social media campaign against her, the lead actress in his film. Lively also filed a lawsuit outlining her grievances. In response, Baldoni filed a lawsuit claiming that Lively fabricated these accusations to seize creative control of the movie and protect her own tarnished reputation. Lively’s lawyers have stated they plan to file an amended complaint soon, possibly as early as this week. The trial is scheduled for March 9.

In August, when talking to THR prior to the public revelation of any tensions between Baldoni and Lively, Hoover expressed his satisfaction with the film adaptation of the book, stating, “I believe they did an excellent job compressing the story into a movie, and I’m quite content with this interpretation.

She went on to individually commend them, saying, “I found it an incredibly collaborative experience where I grasped all necessary adjustments and endorsed the modifications required. In fact, I’m quite amazed by my enthusiasm for it and the minimal resistance I encountered regarding any changes.
