As a die-hard fan of edge-of-your-seat action thrillers, I can hardly contain my excitement for Dan Stevens’ latest project, “Onslaught.” After his electrifying performance in Adam Wingard‘s “The Guest,” I’ve been eagerly anticipating their reunion. The fact that they’re teaming up again is like finding out your favorite band is going on a world tour after a decade-long hiatus!
Dan Stevens, known for his captivating role in Adam Wingard’s suspenseful movie “The Guest”, is teaming up once more with the director for their upcoming action-packed thriller titled “Onslaught”.
Actress Adria Arjona will be leading a movie production jointly undertaken by A24, Lyrical Media, and Ryder Picture Company. The filming is set to start in the state of New Mexico this coming November.
The filmmaker behind Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is now teaming up once again with his regular partner Simon Barrett. Together they penned the critically acclaimed films You’re Next and Guest. For Stevens, this collaboration marked a significant leap in Hollywood, as he was primarily recognized for his work on the popular British show Downton Abbey up until that point.
Details about the film Onslaught are being secreted away in a clandestine underground research facility; however, information suggests it’s a wild, action-packed blend of horror and suspense.
Arjona takes on the role of a mother who relies on her unique abilities to safeguard her family, following an encounter with a menace that managed to evade a clandestine military facility. Pereira is set to portray The Butcher, utilizing his combat skills such as anaconda strangles and high kicks in his intense character depiction.
Stevens is set to portray a German researcher, who’s involved in the experiments, whose results might unexpectedly break free.
Under the Ryder Picture Company flag jointly with A24, Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett are set to produce “Onslaught”. Meanwhile, Alexander Black from Lyrical Media is also on board as a producer. Additionally, Wingard and manager Jeremy Platt will be producing, through their new production company Breakaway Civilization, together with Barrett.
In collaboration, Lyrical and A24 are jointly funding the project, while A24 takes charge of its global distribution. Lyrical’s Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers will assume executive producer roles, working alongside A24.
2024 has been a diverse, action-packed year for me as a gamer. I teamed up with Wingard again for the epic monster battle of Godzilla x Kong, which raked in an impressive $571 million globally when it hit theaters in March. Prior to that, I was part of Universal’s vampire thriller ensemble, Abigail, and come summer, I found myself starring in Neon’s spine-tingling horror flick, Cuckoo.
The actor is repped by CAA and UK’s Julian Belfrage Associates.
