Although Superman hasn’t graced the big screen just yet, DC Studios is already shaking things up in the revamped DC Universe. A new movie titled Clayface, penned by horror mastermind Mike Flanagan, will put the well-known Batman adversary at the forefront of his own full-length film. Speak No Evil’s James Watkins is set to direct this exciting project, which has already generated a lot of buzz in the superhero world. With a hefty $40 million budget, it could be the studio’s next Joker, and they seem to be on the hunt for an iconic actor to lead the production.
Based on Jeff Sneider’s reports, it appears that Daniel Radcliffe, once a star in the “Harry Potter” series, is being considered for the lead role in the movie titled “Clayface”. This film narrates the story of Basil Karlo, a struggling B-list actor who resorts to injecting an unknown substance to revive his career, only to experience a grotesque metamorphosis as his body turns into malleable clay. Flanagan writes this body horror film, and given Radcliffe’s previous success in “Harry Potter” and his recent roles, “Clayface” could offer him an exciting opportunity to showcase his acting skills, fitting well within his current portfolio of films.
More to come.
