Deadpool 3 Concept Art Reveals Female Juggernaut, And My FOMO Is Through The Roof

As a longtime Marvel enthusiast and someone who’s watched every single film multiple times, I must confess that I’m green with envy! The female Juggernaut variant concept art for Deadpool 3 is simply electrifying! It’s like a lightning bolt struck my heart when I first saw it. If only I could have been there to hear her declare, “I’m the Juggernaut, bitches!”

As a dedicated Marvel enthusiast, it’s undeniable that the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to dominate the entertainment landscape, with fresh releases gracing both theaters and our screens through Disney+ subscriptions. The latest blockbuster hitting the silver screen is none other than Deadpool & Wolverine, shattering box office records left and right. With anticipation running high for how upcoming Marvel movies might be shaped by this third installment, fan art has given us a sneak peek into a female Juggernaut variant. And let me tell you, I’m feeling a fierce pang of FOMO!

Those of us who have spent years watching the Marvel movies in order were treated to a number of thrilling cameos during Deadpool 3, including characters and variants from the X-Men movies. Juggernaut’s helmet became an important macguffin in the film, and images from Instagram revealed a scrapped concept art for a female variant on the villain. Check it out below:

That’s quite impressive, isn’t it? Even though this interpretation of Juggernaut didn’t end up in the cast of Deadpool 3, its design is truly fantastic. I would have been thrilled to witness a female version of the character saying “I am the Juggernaut, lady!” Unfortunately, it seems that might not have happened, but who knows? With the multiverse playing a significant role in recent Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, there’s always a chance we might see it in another film someday.

In the movie Deadpool & Wolverine, some actors reprised their roles while others showed up as different versions. New interpretations of Toad, Psylocke, and Azazel were presented. Regrettably, a female Juggernaut didn’t make it to Shawn Levy’s praised third installment in theaters. I’ll update you when my fear of missing out (FOMO) eases up.

The massive scale of Deadpool 3 and its multiverse narrative (including the Time Variance Authority from Loki) led to numerous alternate versions being conceptualized, but only a few made it to the final cut. One such idea was a Deadpool character with Wolverine’s claws, merging the two characters into one formidable entity. Unfortunately, many of these innovative ideas were trimmed during editing.

In the movie, as I mentioned earlier, Juggernaut played a significant role in the storyline, despite not appearing as his female variant on screen. When the rebels were trying to find a method to counter Cassandra Nova’s psychic powers, it was evident they needed something to suppress them. With Magneto absent, Juggernaut’s helmet emerged as the solution, reinforcing the connection between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the X-Men franchise once more.

As a diehard gamer, it’d be thrilling to witness the ripple effects of the blockbuster hits like Deadpool and Wolverine on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Given that movies such as Ant-Man 3 and The Marvels didn’t perform as well at the box office, it seems sensible that Kevin Feige and his team might capitalize on Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s immense popularity to steer the MCU in an exciting new direction.

Currently playing in theaters is the duo of Deadpool and Wolverine, with Captain America: Brave New World set to hit screens on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, coming up next. Meanwhile, keep an eye out for the 2025 movie release dates.
