The show focuses on their struggle to maintain a balance between their professional and personal lives amidst the chaotic work environment.
In the twelfth season, Wallace Boden, the former chief, was advanced to the position of Deputy Commissioner, creating a vacancy for a new actor to assume the role as the newest chief. Mulroney now becomes a regular cast member alongside David Eigenberg, Taylor Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo, Joe Miñoso, Christian Stolte, Hanako Greensmith, and Jocelyn Hudson, all of whom joined the series in the latest season.
