Did you know Ameesha Patel turned down Morgan Stanley job for Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai with Hrithik Roshan?

Reflecting upon Ameesha Patel’s captivating journey into Bollywood, I find myself deeply inspired by her audacity and serendipity. Her life is a testament to the power of destiny, as she was cast in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai just three days before filming, a decision that would forever change her life’s trajectory.

The movie “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” became an instant blockbuster upon release, and it was Ameesha Patel’s big screen debut as she was cast only three days before filming began. The actress, who felt that her part in the Hrithik Roshan movie was meant to be, revealed that she had earlier turned down offers for films like “Prem Aggan” and “Himalaya Putra”. In a recent conversation, Patel disclosed that she also turned down an opportunity from Morgan Stanley to take on her first acting job.

Recently, in an engaging chat with BeautybyBiE, the actress shared an intriguing tale of how I crossed paths with the legendary Rakesh Roshan and landed my debut role in cinema. She recounted that it was at a family wedding I had hesitantly attended where fate brought me face-to-face with the director himself!

In the process of crossing paths, he glanced at her, gave a quick blink, then inquired from her dad if she was his girlfriend. The father responded by mentioning that she had recently graduated and had come back from Boston.

A day following their short meeting, Rakesh extended an invitation for lunch at his residence to her. Initially, she hesitated due to the distance involved. However, it was later discovered that he had intended this gathering as an opportunity to discuss her part in the movie Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai with her.

Patel shared that she had reluctantly gone out for lunch in informal attire and sans makeup, feeling rather displeased about the outing. However, upon arrival, she ran into her old pal, Hrithik Roshan, whom she had known since childhood.

In a casual and straightforward manner: The actress from Gadar seemed to praise his appearance, yet quickly inquired about the location of the restroom. This left him with an unusual impression of her.

As I stood there, heart pounding, I overheard Rakesh and Hrithik discussing Ameesha in the other room – Rakesh’s voice filled with palpable excitement about discovering the actress for their film. Little did she know that the lunch gathering was anything but ordinary. When Ameesha returned from the restroom, I could see the confusion in her eyes as she readied herself to leave, unaware of the momentous occasion unfolding right before her very eyes.

Following their meal, the director enquired about her upcoming intentions. She disclosed that she was undecided if she should go back to Boston for additional education or take up the job offer from Morgan Stanley, an appealing prospect.

Later, Rakesh unexpectedly brought up the topic of acting. Ameesha recalled her involvement in school plays and dancing during her youth, yet showed little enthusiasm for the glitz and glamour of Bollywood.

Later on, the director of Krrish put forward a movie contract to her, proposing a part in a future project he intended to produce alongside his son. Initially hesitant, she consented after some reflection, figuring that if the film didn’t succeed, she could always go back to her studies and employment since she had other opportunities available as well.
