Recently, during an interview on Jay Shetty’s podcast, Alia revealed the story behind selecting Raha’s name, and she also hinted that she has already decided on a name for a future son.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m delighted to share a personal insight: When my partner and I embarked on the journey of choosing our children’s names, we initially focused on finding a fitting boy’s name. It was Ranbir Kapoor’s mother, Neetu Ji, who introduced the name Raha, suggesting that it would harmonize beautifully with the boy’s name if we were blessed with both a son and a daughter someday. She also presented another pair of names for two girls. However, upon hearing the name Raha, my heart and Ranbir’s resonated so profoundly that we decided on it for our daughter, even before her arrival. Thus, we predetermined not only our son’s name but also our little girl’s, with Raha being a special bond between them.
When queried about the significance behind Raha Kapoor’s name, the actress from Jigra gracefully smiled and shared that it symbolizes serenity, happiness, and contentment—qualities they deeply associate with their daughter. In the year 2022, Alia and Ranbir joyously welcomed their firstborn child, Raha Kapoor, into their lives.
At the same time, the actress from “The Darlings” reminisced about her early passions, explaining how she was spellbound by TV. She vividly remembered this enchantment and disclosed that this subject often comes up in conversations with her mom to this day.
Based on what Alia shared, her mom occasionally questions if she may have overstepped as a parent by permitting too much screen time. This is particularly true now that Alia herself is mindful about regulating her own child’s screen usage.
