Initially, it appears straightforward, but before long, you’ll find yourself faced with a sequence of obstacles that demand your battle prowess and tactical acumen.
Upon reaching The Cauldron’s gate, Davrin will briefly play a visual sequence to demonstrate an obstructed route that lies ahead.
After the scene ends, move towards the close-by ramp and press R1 or RB (on your controller) to make Assan lower a platform. Jump onto this platform, then climb the ladder ahead for your initial confrontation with Darkspawn.

As you step into the Gloom Howler’s territory, you’ll be greeted by waves of Darkspawn.
To successfully navigate this current situation, focus on locating the Blight Boils that are dispersed nearby.
Instead, prioritize eliminating the boils located on the ledge to your left and the one hidden around the corner on your right. Once those are taken care of, then you can tackle the central one.
As soon as you tackle these issues now, you’ll find yourself with fewer problems in the future. Once you’ve cleaned up this space, make your way through the arch on the left and eliminate the last Boil. Remember to watch your footing to minimize unnecessary damage.
In The Cauldron, the high point involves a struggle against the Darkspawn Horde. If you’re not properly ready, this fierce conflict could take you by surprise.
Overwhelmed by the multitude of adversaries? Victory boils down to mastering the crowd and choosing your targets thoughtfully – that’s my secret strategy!
Having Davrin in your team can prove to be a game-changer due to his Detonation skills. Taash is another excellent pick for this section, particularly when you’re aiming concentrated fire attacks on important adversaries such as Greater Hurlock Blighters or even the late-appearing Greater Ogre.
