When it comes to the fine sport of football, few places revere it as much as the European theatre. And of the many professional leagues one of the most prominent is Spain’s La Liga, which boasts world-famous teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona among many other top-flight competitors. It’s little surprise then that EA is partnering with La Liga for an in-game event in EA Sports FC Mobile to celebrate the league’s pedigree.
EA and La Liga are, of course, already partnered as EA serves as the league’s title sponsor. Now a new three-part event in EA Sports FC Mobile will celebrate the league through to April 16th. The first part allows fans to learn more about La Liga via an interactive multimedia hub, getting a sense of the vibrant history of the organisation.
In part two, you’ll get a peek at current La Liga action with some match highlights accessible through an interactive game interface. Plus, football enthusiasts can participate in simulation matches modeled after the future fixtures in the 2024/2025 season.

Finally, part three of the event will celebrate some of the most famous faces in La Liga history: Fernando Hierro, Xabi Alonso, Carles Puyol, Fernando Morientes, Diego Forlán and Joan Capdevila. You’ll get the chance to learn more about their history and earn them as in-game Icons and Heroes to chart a new path in the Hall of La Liga Fame.
Suffice it to say for football fans this is sure to be a red-letter day as La Liga boasts a fanatical following for a reason. It also shows how EA has managed to defy predictions that losing the FIFA licence would kick the legs from under them, as they’ve instead crafted many new partnerships with top-flight leagues and teams.
