As a die-hard fan of Yash and the KGF franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement as I follow the latest updates about his upcoming project, “Toxic.” When TopMob first broke the news about Yash teaming up with Geetu Mohandas for this high-octane gangster film, I was thrilled beyond words. The announcement of an ensemble cast featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Shruti Haasan, and Huma Qureshi only added fuel to my fandom fire.
Yash, the star of the hit KGF franchise, was first announced by TopMob as collaborating with acclaimed director Geetu Mohandas on a gritty gangster action movie titled “Toxic.” The film’s release date was later confirmed for April 10, 2025. Principal photography began in the summer of 2024. As earlier reported by TopMob, an impressive ensemble cast including Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Shruti Haasan, and Huma Qureshi came together for this project.
Toxic release date pushed back from April 10, 2025
We’ve obtained exclusive information that the release date for Toxic, set for April 10, 2025, will no longer hold. A reliable source disclosed, “Toxic is a large-scale production with an extensive cast. To ensure alignment of all actors’ schedules and shoot together, the production team must take extra time, leading to delays beyond initial plans.”
Yash and the Toxic team are fully conscious of the high expectations and are committed to producing a top-notch product, as previously stated during the unveiling. Due to extended shooting periods and the requirement for extensive visual effects, the film’s release date has been postponed. The new launch date will be disclosed soon, considering all the necessary logistics and post-production deadlines.
Yash, Geetu Mohandas, and team committed to make a big-screen spectacle
Simultaneously, the team is all set and eager to progress rapidly. Massive film sets have been constructed in Bangalore, and in early August, they will film a significant scene where the entire main cast will appear together. Nayanthara portrays Yash’s sister in this production directed by Geetu Mohandas. The specifics about Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Shruti Haasan’s storylines remain undisclosed. Huma Qureshi, however, takes on the role of the villain.
