Farah Khan recalls Alaya F’s mom Pooja Bedi’s Pehla Nasha song moment led to spot boy fainting on sets, find more

On her YouTube channel, Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan welcomed actress Alaya F and her mother Pooja Bedi as guests. During the show, Alaya prepared her beloved blueberry protein pancakes, sparking a trip down memory lane as Farah and Pooja reminisced about working together on the 1992 film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. One amusing anecdote they shared involved an unforeseen incident that took place during the filming of the famous song Pehla Nasha, which left everyone in stitches.

During the filming of “Pehla Nasha”, it was memorably when Pooja Bedi performed a scene by standing on a car. But an unexpected event occurred as the person below the car, who was a spot boy, suddenly passed out.

Farah playfully told Alaya, “I suppose you remember the incident? When she balanced on that car, the person who was actually beneath her, not behind, lost his footing. It was the first time I ever saw a thong. Back then, they weren’t common at all.

Pooja swiftly made it clear that Farah was overstating things slightly. As she put it, the stagehand wasn’t really close by but stood a bit further off. She went on to say that whenever she attempted to adjust her dress from the front, it unexpectedly rose from behind, leading to quite a stir on the film set.

The festivities continued, and since Farah had invested a significant amount of time assisting Pooja with her dance routines for the film, she playfully poked fun at Pooja’s dancing abilities. When Alaya confessed that she too wasn’t born with natural dancing skills, Farah chuckled, drawing a comparison between Alaya’s initial dance moves and Pooja’s performance in the song Naam Hai Mera Fonseca. Despite all the joking around, Farah commended Alaya for her grace and composure, particularly on the red carpet, noting that she was more restrained compared to Pooja’s more extravagant style.

Pooja Bedi portrayed the fashionable and self-assured character Devika in the movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, which featured Aamir Khan and Ayesha Jhulka. This film, now recognized as a cult classic, has been reintroduced to cinemas, sparking a wave of nostalgia among its fans.

Currently, actress Alaya F, who first appeared on the big screen in Jawaani Jaaneman (2020), has also been featured in films such as Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat, U-Turn, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Srikanth.
