Since the sixth film, Jason Statham has been a regular feature, first appearing as Deckard Shaw in the end credits sequence of that movie.

Beginning with “The Fast and the Furious” in 2001, the story of Dominic Toretto and his family, both adopted and blood-related, quickly gained popularity, earning $207 million against a budget of just $38 million. The film featured Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster, and was inspired by an article in Vibe magazine titled “Racer X” written by Ken Li, which explored the world of illegal street racing in New York City. Expanding upon this idea, director Rob Cohen created a thrilling movie packed with what fans have since associated with the franchise – speedy cars, intricate characters, and audacious heists that challenge the boundaries of believability.

As with any long-running franchise, things eventually reach their conclusion, but Vin Diesel confirmed earlier this year that the next installment in the main saga will be the last. However, it’s unlikely that Universal would let go of such a profitable asset while it continues to generate substantial revenue. So, while this may be the end of the current storyline, it doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the Fast & Furious franchise altogether.
