First Look at Xenomorphs in ‘Alien: Earth’ Teaser Will Leave You Breathless!

An exciting time has come for fans of the Alien franchise! Following the highly successful release of Alien: Romulus last year, a sequel is in production with Fede Álvarez returning as director to continue the story featuring Cailee Spaeny as Rain Carradine. In addition, the Xenomorphs are preparing to instill their slimy fear on small screens through Alien: Earth, marking the first ever Alien television series for FX on Hulu. While details about the series remain scarce, only a few cryptic teasers have been released to maintain anticipation. A sneak peek of actual footage from the series was unveiled during the Academy Awards and can now be viewed online.

Instead of being a standalone trailer for the “Alien: Earth” series, these new glimpses serve to highlight all the exciting visual effects coming to Hulu in 2025. Alongside revealing the first season of the Emmy-winning show “Shōgun”, they also provided sneak peeks at Season 4 of “The Bear” and, naturally, “Alien: Earth”. The latest view of the series presents a group of characters approaching what appears to be the wreckage of a ship previously teased, as well as other recognizable elements from the Alien franchise, including a rather gooey Ovomorph (or alien egg) and a Xenomorph.

In keeping with the tone of the series, this new “Alien” story offers a unique twist within the anthology. Notably, it’s the first “Alien” tale set on Earth, where the danger shifts from humanity reaching out to the Xenomorphs invading us instead. Additionally, it promises significant ties to the broader franchise, given that it unfolds two years before the initial “Alien” movie.

‘Alien: Earth’ Is Noah Hawley’s Next Big Series

Beyond the anticipation generated by a more familiar setting for Alien: Earth, the creative team behind this project boasts an impressive history of producing exceptional and trailblazing television that should excite Alien fans as well. Notably, Noah Hawley is the creator and writer of Alien: Earth, and he has also been confirmed to direct several episodes of the upcoming series. If you’re unfamiliar with his previous work, Hawley is renowned for two other FX series: Legion, a show inspired by Marvel comics about Professor X’s son, portrayed in the FX series by Dan Stevens; and Fargo, a crime anthology series that bears a very loose resemblance to the Coen brothers’ film of the same name. The former has garnered 113 award nominations and won 32 across its five seasons.

The extraterrestrial assures us that Earth is being well taken care of. Previously, Hawley delved into what sets Alien apart and his enthusiasm for introducing the Xenomorph to our planet in chilling and unforeseen manners. The intrigue surrounding the storyline only intensifies the anticipation, echoing the clever advertising strategy of Romulus, which held back some of its most heart-pounding scares until the release.

A sneak peek of the upcoming Alien story has been unveiled, and it’s certain to whet fans’ appetites. Since the series is slated for a Summer 2025 release, we won’t have long to see what Hawley has planned. Given that the Xenomorph could originate from an Earth animal, the range of terrifying forms this creature might take in the series seems limitless. So far, Hawley hasn’t failed with his TV projects, and it appears he’ll continue to impress with the Alien series.
