Fox News Anchor Neil Cavuto to Exit After 28 Years

As a long-time viewer who’s grown up with Neil Cavuto gracing our screens for over two decades, it’s hard to imagine Fox News without his familiar face and steady voice guiding us through the world of business news. From CNBC to NBC, PBS, and finally Fox, Cavuto has been a beacon of journalistic excellence in an industry that often falters.

One of Fox News Channel’s original hosts is leaving the network after 28 years.

Neil Cavuto, a longtime host who’s been anchoring the afternoon show “Your World” on Fox News since its inception in 1996, is parting ways with the network. Additionally, he has hosted “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” on the Fox Business Network.

Neil Cavuto’s impressive career at Fox News Media spans over 28 years and serves as an exceptional model of journalism. We are immensely proud of his accomplishments and the impact he has made in shaping business news, raising the bar for the entire industry. As he embarks on a new journey, we bid him a warm farewell and wish him all the success in his future endeavors.

For a number of years, Cavuto has been a prominent figure in Fox’s programming lineup, assuming additional roles such as Senior Vice President and Managing Editor of business news for both Fox News and Fox Business Network. At the Fox Business Network (FBN), he also hosted special coverage events, including election nights.

A veteran journalist who previously worked as an anchor on CNBC’s Market Wrap program and contributed to NBC News, Cavuto has spent a significant part of his career as one of the nation’s most prominent business news figures. He has graced the screens at PBS’ Nightly Business Report, Investment Age, and various other platforms.

Apart from being vocal about matters he feels strongly about, the anchor is known for his openness. He’s a survivor of cancer and lives with multiple sclerosis, and he’s confronted criticism from certain viewers when he advocated for getting the COVID-19 vaccination.

Over time, he’s voiced his disapproval towards President-elect Donald Trump too, which on occasion has earned him criticism not only from Trump himself, but also from Fox News viewers who are among Trump’s supporters.

Cavuto’s departure indicates that the ranks of original Fox News personalities are diminishing. Among those who remain are prime-time host Sean Hannity, as well as Steve Doocy from the morning show “Fox & Friends”. Brit Hume, a Fox contributor and previous anchor, is also part of this group.
