Fyre Festival 2 Postponed and No New Date Announced

Fyre Festival 2 isn’t going as planned (for the second time).

It appears that organizers of the troubled music festival have decided to delay its return, according to reports from ABC News. The initial message sent to ticket holders reads: “We are postponing the event and a new date will be shared soon. In the meantime, we’ve processed your refund. When the new date is set, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase tickets again if it fits your schedule.

Back in 2025, I was all geared up for an unforgettable gaming extravaganza happening from May 30 to June 2! The event promised some serious action with ticket prices ranging from a grand $1,400 to an eye-popping $25,000. To top it off, there was even a jaw-dropping million-dollar package up for grabs! Can’t wait to join the fun!

After the tickets for the supposed festival on Isla Mujeres, an island off Mexico’s coast, went on sale in February, I found myself facing roadblocks. The local tourism board stated they were unfamiliar with this event, while festival founder Billy McFarland mentioned that he and his partners have been consistently communicating with the local and state government to guarantee compliance and a successful event that boosts the local economy.

Edgar Gasca, from Isla Mujeres’ tourism department, informed The Guardian last month that there’s no such event, and no permits have been requested for the supposed festival. However, McFarland refuted these claims on Instagram, stating his trusted partners in charge of the festival are managing all logistics, production, and operations. He emphasized that the skilled team in Mexico is not messing around, and they would never be involved with a bogus festival.

Eight years after the initial Fyre Festival disastrously concluded, stranding attendees in the Bahamas and resulting in McFarland’s admission of fraudulent activities, came the announcement for Fyre Festival 2.

A new date for Fyre Festival 2 has yet to be announced.

The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to festival organizers for comment.
