  • Collect creatures and venture out into a colourful fantasy world
  • Enjoy idle gameplay and fast progression
  • Coming soon to the West

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must admit that the upcoming release of GoGo Muffin has piqued my interest significantly. Having grown up playing Ragnarok Online, the idle MMORPG seems to be a charming homage to those golden days, but with a modern twist that appeals to the casual gamer in me.

Over the weekend, XD Games is adding some flair with GoGo Muffin making an appearance at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Excited fans will get a sneak preview of the upcoming idle MMORPG before its official release. This colorful game is set to debut in the Western market, following its success as one of the top 3 most-played games in 2024 in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

In GoGo Muffin, you can anticipate gathering creatures to accompany you in a world post-Ragnarok. Despite the setting suggesting an emphasis on death and ruin, the apocalypse isn’t as grim as it appears when you have adorable animals traveling with you.

Since it’s not demanding much activity, you can effortlessly progress at your own pace, teaming up with your companions. You’ll find numerous skill paths to explore too, plus challenging boss fights designed for you and your closest allies to conquer jointly.

The cutesy art style lends to the stress-free nature of the game, which, in my opinion, seems to take inspiration from Ragnarok Online and its later mobile iterations. But if that sounds like it’s right up your alley and you’re keen on more low-pressure experiences, why not take a look at our list of the best idle games on Android to tide you over until the official release date?

At present, if you’re excited to get involved and have a great time, you can do so by exploring it on TapTap. Additionally, it will be featured at TGS this year, so if you find yourself in Japan this weekend, don’t forget to take a peek!
