Guy Ritchie’s Paramount+ Show Gets Title, Premiere Date

Guy Ritchie’s highly anticipated crime series featuring big-name stars finally has a title and a release date on Paramount+.

The series titled “MobLand” is set to premiere on March 30 across Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia. Further territories will be added later this year. Remarkably, the show was only announced for production just a few weeks ago, in late November.

MobLand revolves around a London-based Irish crime clan, with Brosnan portraying the family leader, Conrad Harrigan. Meanwhile, Mirren, who is also featured in Paramount+’s prequel to Yellowstone, titled 1923, takes on the role of Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s spouse and family matriarch. In contrast, Hardy assumes the character of Harry Da Souza, who serves as the Harrigans’ troubleshooter.

In addition to the main characters, we have Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan, and Emily Barber joining the cast.

Initially, the show started as a spin-off from Showtime’s “Ray Donovan,” called “The Donovans.” However, as it evolved, it broke away from its connection to the original series and stood on its own – although it does maintain a similar theme by following a crime family and their fixer.

Among several streaming ventures, “MobLand” is one that Ritchie is associated with. This list also includes “The Gentlemen,” a series renewed for a second season on Netflix, and the imminent “Young Sherlock” on Amazon Prime Video.

101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios collaborate to bring us the series known as MobLand. The show is overseen by Ritchie in his role as executive producer, alongside Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, Kris Thykier, Ivan Atkinson, Hardy, Dean Baker, and a group that includes Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari.
