Hallmark Actor John Reardon Reveals He’s Recovering From Tonsil Cancer, Thanks Wife for “Taking on Our Whole World”

As a fervent admirer of John Reardon‘s acting prowess and heartfelt performances, witnessing his courageous battle against tonsil cancer has left me in awe. His journey, as depicted in the stark contrast between the two images he shared, is a testament to the indomitable human spirit.

On Christmas Eve, renowned Hallmark actor John Reardon publicly announced his recovery from tonsil cancer. He chose to share this personal update through two images posted on Instagram – one depicting a social outing and the other showing him at the hospital.

Reardon wrote, ‘Last night marked my first outing since recovering from tonsil cancer. It’s been a lengthy journey from the earlier photos to this one, and the change is due to the love and support I’ve received from those close to me.’

He went on expressing gratitude towards Meghan Ory, his wife, along with his mother, father, and brothers and sisters, all of whom had provided him with support.

Of his “amazing partner” Ory, Reardon said she took “on our whole world to help me get better.”

Additionally, he expressed his gratitude for “my courageous children who motivated me. My Dad who braved the weather to walk me every day despite my struggles to rise from bed – I’m confident it wasn’t easy for him to witness his son in distress. My Mom at ocean__cottage who prepared soups, ginger honey tea, and green juices so I could maintain my strength. My sister and brother, dr_laura_reardon and marcreardon81, who assisted with the kids and life’s difficulties when I was unable to.

Most recently, Reardon appeared with Ory in this year’s “Faith in Christmas”. Beyond this, his acting resume boasts titles such as “Love on the Sidelines”, “The Christmas Secret”, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, “White Chicks” and “Scary Movie 4”, among others.

In his post, Reardon further thanked more people in his life who were there for him.

“All my in-laws, who are not just in-laws they are family, who brought food and cookies and talked through challenges with us. Our nanny, our neighbors and everyone who sent food or love and support or messages and kind words and also all the amazing doctors, nurses, technicians, hospital workers, psychologists you are all my heroes and I thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he continued. “Kindness is an under appreciated quality in people. We should never under value it. Celebrate it and distribute it as much as possible. It is free and life changing.”

He concluded the post by adding, “Happy Holidays.”
