As a fellow cinephile, I find Hania Aamir’s heartwarming journey into Bollywood absolutely captivating! Her childhood fascination with Shah Rukh Khan and the iconic film Baadshah is not only adorable but also relatable for many of us who found ourselves lost in the magic of celluloid dreams.
It’s common knowledge that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir holds a deep admiration for actor Shah Rukh Khan, this becoming evident when her viral reenactment of his famous pose swept social media. In a recent interview, Aamir candidly discussed her affection for Bollywood films. She disclosed that ‘Baadshah’ was the very first Bollywood movie she ever watched. Moreover, she expressed a strong wish to portray the character of Chota Pandit from Akshay Kumar’s film Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
On Mashable Middle East’s show, Hania Aamir openly shared her fondness for Shah Rukh Khan and disclosed that the initial Bollywood movie she saw as a young girl was “Baadshah”.
Aamir mentioned that from an early age, he would often watch movies – particularly one his mom played on a CD cassette – and he also found delight in cartoons like Bugs Bunny and What’s Up Doc.
Speaking about Baadshah, she characterized it as a hilarious film that she has seen approximately 25 times. Additionally, she referred to it as “excellent” or “outstanding.
As a devoted admirer, I must confess that Baadshah left an indelible mark on me during those formative years, despite my limited understanding of who the man behind the character was, the essence of the movie, or the vibrant world of Bollywood altogether.
Instead, she pointed out that the charm of certain films lies in their ability to make one feel connected as you mature, almost like belonging to a shared community. Later on, she reminisced about her friendships formed over a common love for these films, strengthening their bond. Aamir added that her anticipation for Bollywood movies remains constant.
When asked which Bollywood character she’d like to portray, Hania promptly chose Bhool Bhulaiyaa, specifically referring to the original version. She expressed her desire to play the role of Chota Pandit, stating confidently that she would excel in this part and genuinely enjoy tackling such a role.
Apart from sharing her own work, Hania Aamir also voiced her fondness for the Bollywood films Om Shanti Om, which she finds delightful, Tamasha, a film she considers well-made, and Ram Leela featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, a movie she describes as enjoyable.
