Hender Scheme and Pendleton Unveil Inaugural Americana-Infused Collection

As a seasoned collector of unique footwear and accessories, this Hender Scheme x Pendleton collaboration has sent shivers of excitement down my spine! Growing up in the rugged, woolen-clad landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, I’ve always had a soft spot for Pendleton’s iconic patterns. And now, to see them gracefully combined with Hender Scheme’s impeccable craftsmanship is nothing short of a dream come true!

For the first time, Hender Scheme is joining forces with an esteemed American wool fabric producer, Pendleton, to introduce their debut collection. This unique collaboration blends Pendleton’s iconic wool textiles and designs with Hender Scheme’s high-quality leather accessories and footwear from Japan.

Hender Scheme showcases its footwear proficiency in two refreshed designs, drawing inspiration from their traditional styles. The first design is a revamped derby shape, crafted with pebble leather uppers and a patterned wool fabric accent over the toe area. This formal piece comes in two color combinations: black leather and greyscale wool, as well as brown leather and a vibrant multi-colored wool. The second design takes on the form of a clog, featuring Pendleton’s iconic Northwestern pattern across the entire upper, while cork insoles add an artisanal touch.

As a gamer, I’ve got my eye on Hender Scheme’s varsity jackets, rocking the distinctive Pendleton patterns in two color options. The collection doesn’t stop there; it expands to include two sizes of handbags crafted from their signature woolen fabric and equipped with protective leather handles for added durability. To complete the look, there’s a lineup of leather wallets – some black, some tan – each one adorned with intricate Pendleton prints.

Beginning October 26th, the inaugural collaboration between Hender Scheme and Pendleton will be accessible at four physical stores – Sukima, Kappabashi, Miyashita Park, and Osaka – under the Hender Scheme brand, as well as on their online web store.
