Hermès Presents Colorful 2025 Home Collection in Floating Volumes

During Milan Design Week, Hermès unveiled its 2025 home collection at La Pelota, featuring an imaginative stage designed by home creative directors Charlotte Macaux Perelman and Alexis Fabry. Stepping away from its traditional heritage-inspired style, the brand introduced a vibrant assortment that draws inspiration from early Modernist art movements.

A row of recessed shelving adorns the blank, pristine area, showcasing items from diverse categories such as furniture, textiles, and dining ware. Beneath them, softly glowing lights of various colors bestow a mystical feel to items like glasses, blankets, and tables.

Tomás Alonso’s see-through side tables have a modern twist on Piet Mondrian’s color-blocked artworks, using contemporary jewel tones. The Amer Musa cashmere throw, with its multicolor grid containing various shaded circles, echoes the abstract art movement of the 20th century and the Bauhaus aesthetic. Other items, such as the vase and basket, carry on the geometric themes, while incorporating different leathers to tie the collection to Hermès’s renowned leathercraft. Lastly, a table set with 33 pieces made of Hermès porcelain showcases repeating geometric patterns that are inspired by the Art Deco era.

Previously, Hermès’ installation had a completely different appearance, focusing on a softly lit setting that emphasized the inherent characteristics of materials such as brick, stone, and wood. In 2024, when Perelman and Fabry celebrate their decade at the helm of Maison’s home collections, they plan to unveil a futuristic atmosphere that will give Hermès’ home projects a modern, progressive feel.

The Hermès 2025 Home Collection will be on display at La Pelota, located at Via Palermo 10, from now until Sunday, the 13th of April, 2025.
