As a die-hard horror fan who’s seen more ghosts than I can count, I’m thrilled about the latest casting news for “Goons.” Hailing from New Orleans, the city where voodoo and horror seem to go hand in hand, this film is shaping up to be something truly terrifying. With Gerard McMurray at the helm, who gave us the chilling “The First Purge,” I have no doubt that we’re in for a spine-tingling ride.
The horror feature Goons has scared up five more actors for the Louisiana-based project.
Rapper YG, J. Alphonse Nicholson known for his role in “P-Valley”, Serayah McNeill recognized for her work on “Empire”, SteVonté Hart from “Bel-Air”, and Tyler Lepley, famous for his roles in “Harlem”, have all signed up to be part of a new movie. This movie is being directed by Gerard McMurray, who gained recognition for his work on “The First Purge”.
The function is now operational in New Orleans and its vicinity, and it’s located against the haunting scenery of Louisiana’s sugarcane fields and plantations. Previously declared actors include Michael Rainey Jr., known for “Power,” and Chloe Bailey from “The Exorcism.”
“McMurray stated that YG, J. Alphonse, Serayah, SteVonté, and Tyler each add their distinctive touch to the fantastic project underway on Goons, right here in my hometown of New Orleans. I’m eagerly anticipating unveiling the results of our collaboration with this talented, promising ensemble to the world,” said McMurray.
