Huge Update: ‘Harry Potter’ Series Cast Confirmed with Major Additions

The acclaimed HBO production of the Harry Potter series has made significant changes to its cast. Following some uncertain discussions, six-time Emmy Award winner John Lithgow is now officially set to play Albus Dumbledore. Moreover, HBO revealed that Janet McTeer, a Tony Award and Golden Globe winner known for her roles in Ozark and Tumbleweeds, will portray Minerva McGonagall. Paapa Essiedu, who has been recognized with Emmy, Olivier, and BAFTA nominations, will take on the role of Severus Snape. Lastly, fans will undoubtedly be thrilled to hear that Nick Frost, known for his work in Hot Fuzz, Hyperdrive, and Shaun of the Dead, has been cast as Rubeus Hagrid. All these actors will appear regularly throughout the series.
